Spider-Man: Far From Home adds Nick Fury and Maria Hill

The Spider-Man sequel casts Samuel L Jackson and Cobie Smulders

We may still be waiting for the second half of Avengers: Infinity War but shooting is well underway on the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, and now we know which MCU regulars will be stepping in to help Peter out.

Vulture reports that Samuel L Jackson and Cobie Smulders have been added to the cast as Nick Fury and Maria Hill in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Now, neither has been confirmed by Sony or Marvel, which is understandable given how we left things with the two characters in Infinity War.

Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei return for the second Spidey movie, and are joined by Jake Gyllenhaal as the villainous Mysterio. Michael Keaton is also back as the Vulture, but it’s not clear just how big a role he’ll play. Jon Watts returns to direct.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is released on 5 July 2019. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
