Although Series 6 was River Song’s big arc, executive producer Caroline Skinner revealed to MTV Geek that Alex Kingston’s character will be back in episode 5 of Doctor Who Series 7.
“She’s so the queen of mischief in this episode,” said Skinner
It’ll be interesting to see the shift in dynamic when Amy (Karen Gillan) – River’s mother – leaves the cast, and what the time-travelling vamp makes of the Doctor’s new companion, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.
