Ever wonder what The Matrix’s Trinity would look like as a badass Jedi? Well wonder no more as Carrie-Anne Moss stars in Star Wars: The Acolyte, the latest Star Wars series for Disney+ and she looks suitably awesome as a Jedi!

In Star Wars: The Acolyte, an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.

The series stars Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Rebecca Henderson (Russian Doll), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix).

Leslye Headland (Russian Doll) created the series, based on Star Wars by George Lucas, and serves as an executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy.

Headland also directed the premiere episodes (episodes 1 and 2). Further episodes were directed by After Yang‘s Kogonada (for episodes 3 and 7), episodes 4 and 5 were directed by Alex Garcia Lopez (who has directed episodes of Cowboy Bebop) and episodes 6 and 8 were directed by Hanelle Culpepper (Star Trek: Discovery).

Award-winning composer Michael Abels, known for his work on Get Out and Us, scored the series.

Star Wars: The Acolyte launches on 5 June with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.
