What We Do In The Shadows sequel We’re Wolves is on the way

Taika Waititi’s We’re Wolves film has officially been given the go ahead

If, like us, you’ve been eagerly awaiting news about Taika Waititi’s sequel to What We Do In The Shadows for what has felt like centuries, today is the day you finally get some.

The sequel, which is titled We’re Wolves, has finally been confirmed by Waititi. The director is currently a pretty busy guy, what with the aftermath of Thor: Ragnarok, and the fact that he’s signed up for Hitler Youth film Jojo Rabbit, Netflix stop-motion animation Bubbles and the upcoming live-action Akira remake, but We’re Wolves is definitely coming. We just don’t know when.

It’s not much, as far as breaking news is concerned, but at least we know it’s still happening and Waititi hasn’t fallen into the Marvel Cinematic Universe pit forever.

The film will focus on the pack of werewolves (not swear wolves), lead by Rhys Darby’s Anton, that appeared in the first vampire flick.

If you haven’t seen What We Do In The Shadows, you should really find time to get around to it because it truly is wonderful. If you love vampires, laughing or life, you’ll love it.

In case you need more convincing:

Like What We Do In The Shadows, We’re Wolves will be directed by Waititi and written by Waititi and Jemaine Clement.

According to an interview with BUILD SeriesWhat We Do In The Shadows took six years to write, so we should probably get comfortable while we wait.

We’re Wolves doesn’t yet have a release date. Get all the latest fantasy news with every issue of SciFiNow.
