Westworld season finale trailer promises a bloody end

Violent delights have violent ends in the trailer for the Westworld season finale

Well, it has been one hell of a season for Westworld. Moving way beyond the world that was established by Michael Crichton in the 1973 movie, we have been introduced to a whole new all-star cast of characters, delivering shocks, twists and turns along the way, all the while delving into an unparalleled examination of the human consciousness.

As we head into the 90-minute-long season finale, ‘New Narrative’, we find ourself with a lot to see wrapped up, hence the extended run time. So we have Maeve (Thandie Newton) apparently continuing to instigate her robot uprising, Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and the Man in Black (Ed Harris) having yet another fateful meeting; Teddy (James Marsden) questioning his surroundings once more; the park continuing to take its toll on the psyche of William (Jimmi Simpson) with Logan (Ben Barnes) too late realising that he has pushed him too far, and the increasingly horrific Robert Harris (Anthony Hopkins) toasting the prospect of apparently seeing his new narrative come to fruition.

There’s a lot to tie up, and judging by the below trailer, a lot’s going to happen. With Season 2 confirmed (albeit not until sometime in 2018), we hope it will make the long wait worthwhile. To be honest we can barely stand the tension. In any case, here’s the new trailer:

Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan have been serving as executive producers for Season 1, with the cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Jimmi Simpson, Ben Barnes, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Clifton Collins Jr, Simon Quarterman and Talulah Riley.

Westworld episode 10, ‘New Narrative’ will air on Sky Atlantic in the US on Tuesday 6 December 2016. For all the latest TV news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
