Umbrella Academy NYCC first look comes with posters, pics and a release date

Check out this super-batch of new images and more for Netflix’s Umbrella Academy

We’ve been following the TV adaptation of The Umbrella Academy from the start, but it’s only now after New York Comic-Con this weekend that we’ve actually had any updates. There are a lot, so hold onto your brollies…

Firstly, a big batch of character posters have been released, which you can view in the gallery above.

Next, there’s the news that The Umbrella Academy will be hitting Netflix on 15 February 2019. There’s a bit of a wait, but whatever. We’re still excited.

And finally, here are some images that give a first look at the series:

 

The Umbrella Academy is based on Gerard Way’s comic book series of the same name. The TV series was written by Jeremy Slater, and Season One will run for 10 episodes.

It stars Ellen Page as Vanya/The White Violin, Tom Hooper as Luther/Spaceboy, Robert Sheehan as Klaus/The Séance, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison/The Rumor, David Castañeda as Diego/The Kraken, Aidan Gallagher as Number Five/The Boy, Mary J Blige as Cha-Cha, Cameron Britton as Hazel, Colm Feore as Sir Reginald Hargreeves/The Monocle, Adam Godley as Pogo and John Magaro as Leonard Peabody.
