Twin Peaks Season 3 casts Heroes star

Yet another name has been added to Twin Peaks Season 3 – but as who?

As you’d expect from a project helmed by the legendarily elusive David lynch, concrete information on Lynch and Mark Frost’s revival of Twin Peaks has been thin on the ground. So far, the only new casting news was that Mamma Mia and Les Miserables star Amanda Seyfried would be involved. Now, however, we can add another name to that list: Robert Knepper.

If it’s versatility you’re after, then Knepper is definitely your man, having a whole range of film and TV credits to his name: Heroes, Prison Break, Arrow, The Flash, Stargate Universe and Stargate Universe number among his small-screen appearances, while he has also starred in the likes of Hitman, The Day The Earth Stood Still, RIPD and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2.

As regards who he’s playing – like everyone else, we’re still in the dark. Lynch keeps his secrets well. While we know that returning faces Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise and Sherilyn Fenn will be involved in some capacity, Knepper’s character remains an enigma. We’ll bring you more news as we get it.

Twin Peaks: Season 3 will air on Showtime in the US in 2017. For more news on the biggest TV shows, pick up the latest issue of SciFiNow.
