Speaking to the Daily Dead ahead of The Walking Dead Season 3, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd revealed that she wants the hit zombie drama to continue indefinitely.

“I think much bigger, and maybe it’s [because of] my feature film background,” said Hurd. “Seven [seasons] isn’t nearly enough.

“There is so much rich material to draw from and so many fantastic characters. There are so many different situations and characters to join our survivors, as well as [characters] to be pitted against them… I think there is no limit.

“There is certainly no limit to the comic-book series,” Hurd finished. “Robert [Kirkman] has probably 250 [issues] figured out.”

The Walking Dead Season 3 is airing from 19 October 2012 on FX.
