We’re big fans of Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us videogame here at SciFiNow (check out our five-star review of The Last Of Us: Part II here) and now a teaser trailer has been released for the eagerly anticipated series heading to Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in 2023.

The story takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.

The Last Of Us will be heading to Sky and NOW next year…

The cast includes Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) as Joel and Bella Ramsey (Game Of Thrones) as Ellie.

The show also stars Gabriel Luna (Terminator: Dark Fate) as Tommy, Anna Torv (Fringe) as Tess, Nico Parker (Reminiscence) as Sarah, Murray Bartlett (Iron Fist) as Frank, Nick Offerman (Devs) as Bill, Storm Reid (A Wrinkle In Time) as Riley, Merle Dandridge (The Last of Us videogame) as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce (The Last of Us videogame) as Perry, Lamar Johnson (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) as Henry, Keivonn Woodard as Sam, Graham Greene as Marlon, Elaine Miles as Florence, and Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker.

The Last of Us is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Neil Druckmann (The Last of Us video game).
