2010’s The Last Exorcism, which despite its Exorcist-like teaser posters carved out an identity all of its own as the voyeuristic POV-handycam tale of a fraudulent preacher trying to expose his craft and stumbling upon real evil in the process, and earned itself over $62 million worldwide in the process, has been earmarked for a sequel.
Rising screenwriter Damien Chazelle has been enlisted to pen the script, and it’s not yet known whether original director Daniel Stamm will return.
