If, like us, you totally forgot about the existence of the reboot of The Grudge for a moment, this new poster for the film is here to remind you that it’s still definitely happening. Perhaps the presence of a poster means there’s also a trailer on the way…

The Grudge stars Andrea Riseborough, John Cho, Demian Bichir, Lin Shaye, Betty Gilpin, Jacki Weaver, Frankie Faison and William Sadler. The film is being directed by Nicolas Pesce, and written by Pesce from a story by Pesce and Jeff Buhler. Producing are Sam Raimi (through his Ghost House Pictures banner), Robert Tapert and Takashige Ichise, with Sony Pictures Entertainment distributing.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

A single mother and young detective discovers that a suburban house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death. Now, she runs to save herself and her son from demonic spirits from the cursed house in her neighbourhood.
