Tao Okamoto’s Batman V Superman character revealed

Tao Okamoto’s character in Batman V Superman has been confirmed, to no one’s surprise

Despite everything that was revealed at San Diego Comic Con, there’s still a lot we don’t know about Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice (we still don’t know who the hell Scoot McNairy is playing, for example), but one thing that has been revealed is the identity of Tao Okamoto’s until-now-unrevealed character: none other than Mercy Graves.

Having originally made her debut in Superman: The Animated Series, Mercy’s popularity ensured that she followed in the footsteps of the likes of Harley Quinn before her and crossed over to the comics. Traditionally a bodyguard/personal assistant of Lex Luthor, she has proven to be a formidable character.

Considering that she’ll be portrayed by Okamoto, who has proven her capacity for intensity in The Wolverine and Hannibal, we’re pretty sure that her character’s strengths will be payed up to. Considering the already huge cast to date, it’s anyone’s guess as to how much screen time she’ll actually get, but nonetheless, she represents a solid piece of supporting casting.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice will be released in cinemas on 25 March 2016. For more about the comics that inspired the film, pick up the 100 All-Time Greatest Comics: Revised Edition bookazine now.
