Stephen King’s Haven heads to screens

The master of horror returns to the small screen.

Coloradokid_pbStephen King’s novel The Colorado Kid is getting adapted for the small screen, according to Bloody Disgusting. Published in 2005 the story focused on a small town in Maine (naturally) where its inhabitants are cursed and living in a state of exile. This adaptation has been simply titled Haven.

E1 Entertainment, the same studio that put King’s The Dead Zone on screens, will be handling this project. Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn are writing the pilot for this series, and they share exec producing duties with John Morayniss and Noreen Halpern.

While E1 has assured the public that it intends to broadcast at least 13 episodes of Haven, no date has yet been set for production.
