Despite the bumper box office takings, the reception for the two previous live action Scooby Doo movies were pretty awful – so much so that according to Variety, original producers Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are working on an animated feature-length reboot of the property for Warner Bros.
Newcomer Matt Lieberman, who is also writing the reboot of Short Circuit, will take on the script.
