Duncan Jones’ Mute is drawing closer and, although we were already completely sold on it, this new poster (which channels the likes of Casablanca) has brought out anticipation levels up to 100 percent.

You can read the synopsis for Mute here:

Berlin. Forty years from today. A roiling city of immigrants, where East crashes against West in a science-fiction Casablanca. Leo Beiler (Alexander Skarsgård), a mute bartender has one reason and one reason only for living here, and she’s disappeared. But when Leo’s search takes him deeper into the city’s underbelly, an odd pair of American surgeons (led by Paul Rudd) seem to be the only recurring clue, and Leo can’t tell if they can help, or who he should fear most.

The film is directed by Jones from a screenplay by Jones and Michael Robert Johnson. It stars Skarsgård, Rudd, Justin Theroux, Seyneb Saleh, Gilbert Owuor, Robert Sheehan, Jannis Niewohner, Noel Clarke, Dominic Monaghan and Rob Kazinsky.

Mute will be available on Netflix on 23 February. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
