The Minecraft movie has been in development for a little while now, with Shawn Levy (Night At The Museum) previously attached to direct before he bailed. The news about the new director has certainly got our attention.

Rob McElhenney is best know for creating and starring in the brilliant FXX sitcom It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, in which he plays Mac. Please bear with us while we resist the temptation to post a load of Mac gifs.
Right. Currently there’s no word on what the story will be, and the idea of the game is that you can kind of do anything in its open world environment, but we do know that The Lego Movie’s Roy Lee is a producer…we’re definitely intrigued.
