Writer signs on for Assassin’s Creed film starring Michael Fassbender

The upcoming Assassin’s Creed film, starring and produced by Michael Fassbender, has signed a writer to adapt the popular Ubisoft videogame.

Playwright Michael Lesslie will make his feature debut writing the film, according to THR, which we hope will buck the never-ending trend of awful videogame adaptations. Fassbender signed on to produce and star in the time-travelling hitman film for Regency Pictures back in October and his encouraging as he hasn’t made too many turkeys despite his enormous CV.
