Men In Black reboot finally has a director

Straight Outta Compton director F Gary Gray has joined the Men In Black reboot

Good news: the Men In Black reboot currently in the works at Sony finally has a director! Straight Outta Compton and The Fate Of The Furious‘s F Gary Gray has stepped up to the plate.

The film, which is currently untitled, is being produced by Walter F Parkes and Laurie MacDonald and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, both of whom worked on Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight, are writing the script.

News of another Men In Black film first emerged a while ago, when it was believed that Sony was planning on combining MIB with the 21 Jump Street franchise, starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, with Tatum and Hill stepping into the suits for Jay and Kay. That idea still seems to be happening, but a lot later down the line.

The untitled Men In Black sequel will be in cinemas on 14 June 2019. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
