Disney’s Maleficent 2 could not have cast a more perfect actor for its fantastical world: according to Variety, the great Michelle Pfeiffer is currently in talks for a role in the sequel. She’s set to play the queen, but not much else is known about her potential character.
When talks end, Pfeiffer will be joining returning stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent and Elle Fanning as Aurora, as well as Ed Skrein in an unknown villainous role.
Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales director Joachim Ronning is helming the film. Joe Roth is producing, while Jez Butterworth and Linda Woolverton are penning the most recent script from a draft by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster.
