Scott Stewart’s biblical B-movie Legion, which starred Paul Bettany as a renegade Angel Michael out to protect a pregnant waitress from the armies of Heaven, will be turned into a 90-minute TV show pilot by Syfy.

Stewart himself will direct the pilot from a script by Sons Of Anarchy writer Vaun Wilmott. Deadline reports the plot as follows:

Dominion is described as an epic supernatural action drama set 25 years in the future after a war between an army of angels and mankind has transformed the world. It follows the perilous journey of a rebellious young soldier who discovers he’s the unlikely savior of humanity.”

Syfy announced last week that they’re planning a series based on Terry Gilliam’s 12 Monkeys, as well as Timur Bekmambetov’s Warriors Of Oz miniseries.
