With The Vampire Diaries gone and The Originals coming to an end, it’s time for the next chapter with the first trailer for Legacies, which continues the journey of Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) as she attends the Salvatore Boarding School For The Young & Gifted under the watchful eye of Alaric (Matt Davis).
The series comes from Julie Plec, who co-created The Vampire Diaries and created The Originals. Zach Roerig will reprise his role as Matt Donovan and Plec hasn’t ruled out more guest appearances from characters from the two previous shows.
Per Deadline, “Legacies tells the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson, played by Russell, and others come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves…in spite of their worst impulses…all under the watchful eye of headmaster Alaric Saltzman (Davis).”
Legacies begins on 25 October on The CW in the US. No UK broadcaster has been announced.
