Unsurprisingly given her toxic reputation of late, Universal have dropped Twilight star Kristen Stewart from their follow-up to Snow White And The Huntsman, which will instead focus on Chris Hemsworth’s titular Huntsman.

The original plan was to do two Kristen Stewart Snow White movies, with the third of the series focused on Chris Hemsworth’s character, but Snow White’s less than snow white public image in the gossip rags has fast tracked the third film. We can similarly assume that director Rupert Sanders won’t be returning to the series either.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter David Koepp, who was hired to write the Snow White-helmed sequel, is being settled out of his contract and the studio is looking for a new writer. The plan is to start filming in July when Chris Hemsworth is finished shooting Thor: The Dark World.

Snow White And The Huntsman is out 1 October 2012. Pre-order it on DVD or on Blu-ray from Amazon.co.uk.
