Warner Bros may be developing a tenuous new film series with JK Rowling based on the character of Newt Scamander and the in-universe non-fiction book Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, but there’s evidence the studio aren’t stopping there when it comes to strip-mining the peripheral books.

According to Bleeding Cool, Warner Bros have registered a bunch of trademarks associated with another in-universe text, that of Kennilworthy Whisp’s Quiddich Through The Ages and all the associated teams.

Given the Quiddich segments are the Harry Potter answer to the repetitious podrace in The Phantom Menace – and the series high when the Death Eathers obliging burn down the pitch in The Deathly Hallows Part 2 – this doesn’t exactly bode well, but could we be looking at a wizarding underdog sports movie?
