Well, what a way to get a first look at The Flash Season 3.
After Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) was caught up in the particle accelerator explosion aimed at giving Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) his powers, we’ve been waiting to see what the fallout will be. Now, it looks like we’ll finally get our answer, as The CW has released these two new photos from Season 3 of Lonsdale in costume as Kid Flash.
Even so, it does beg a few questions. After the death of his dad and the defeat of Zoom, a distraught Barry went back in time and prevented his mother’s murder at the hands of Eobard Thawne, thus altering reality. With it having been confirmed that Season 3 will take its cue from DC’s Flashpoint crossover in the comics (which presents alternate takes on DC’s superpowered denizens after Barry does exactly the same thing), it does beg the question: is Wally the Flash in our current Earth-1 reality, or is he only a speedster in the new world that Barry has created?
Maybe there’ll even be some sort of a Justice League in this alternate universe – maybe this how all the different shows will crossover! Either way, we’re excited to find out. It’s a transformation that we have been waiting for ever since his first introduction, and it’s definitely gratifying that it’s definitely happenning.
