Disenchantment renewed for 2 more seasons by Netflix

Matt Groening’s fantasy comedy Disenchantment has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4

Good news, folks of Dreamland: Disenchantment has officially been renewed for not one but two more seasons.

Matt Groening’s latest animated series premiered on Netflix this August with its first 10 episodes to a great fan response. Season 2, which will also consist of 10 episodes, has been on the cards from the start.

But the most recent renewal means Disenchantment will also live to see Seasons 3 and 4, so there’s a whopping 30 more episodes on the way all together. Season 2 will air in 2019, while Seasons 3 and 4 will air in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Of the renewal, Groening said: “We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix. Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off.”

The show stars Abbi Jacobson, Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, John DiMaggio, Billy West, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Julie Montgomery, David Herman, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher and Matt Berry.

Here’s the synopsis for Season 1:

From the mind of Matt Groening, comes the 10-episode adult animated comedy fantasy series, Disenchantment, launching on Netflix, August 17, 2018. In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.
