Ron D Moore was typically evasive on the panel for Caprica, but did say that he firmly believes that Caprica will go to a second season. This ties in both with what we’ve been hearing from sources and from the man himself, when we sat down with him and Esai Morales a few months ago. He also said that Clarice Willow’s group marriage may have been inspired by Heinlein’s The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress, leading us to think that hints for where the show’s going may be found in other classic SF literature. The second part of the first season, due to air (for unknown reasons) midseason, will also see the action notched up a gear, overtaking the angst-heavy overtones of the first episode batch.
