THOR
Kenneth Branagh opened the panel on Thor, one of the most anticipated films of Con. As expected, he related the film back to his Shakespearean work on the stage, particularly the dysfunctional family aspect. Natalie Portman revealed that she was signed on for more sequels to Thor, but not for The Avengers, while the footage screened caused a stir. Also a big hit at Con was the huge Asgardian throne set that took pride of place on the floor.
The real effect of Thor’s panel was the excitement that it stirred up. Many were left feeling unsure by the stills that had been released so far, but the consensus following the event seems to be that this is shaping up to be a film worthy of the mighty character.
