Responding to rumours that Xbox Live was about to fund and air a remake of the classic Terry Nation sci-fi serial Blake’s 7, Microsoft boss Kate Barnes – hired in February 2013 to oversee the generation of original content for the platform – debunked the speculation unequivocally.
Barnes told Den Of Geek, “I think the rumours took on a lot of speed because sci-fi is obviously something at the heart of Xbox, but no, there’s nothing to that.”
