Black Widow film adds David Harbour and Rachel Weisz

David Harbour and Rachel Weisz have joined the cast of Marvel’s Black Widow

There’s been some more movement on Marvel’s Black Widow film, with THR reporting that David Harbour has joined the cast and and Variety bringing word that Rachel Weisz is currently in talks to join.

Harbour is best known for starring as Hopper in Stranger Things and taking on the titular role in the upcoming Hellboy adaptation. Weisz is known for roles in films like The FavouriteThe Mummy (1999) and Disobedience.

There’s currently no word on who either actor will be playing.

The film will be a standalone adventure and will follow Scarlett Johansson as spy-turned-superhero Natasha Romanoff, AKA Black Widow, who grew up being trained by the KGB before joining SHIELD and the Avengers.

The only other actor currently attached to Black Widow is Fighting With My Family and The Falling‘s Florence Pugh. Lore‘s Cate Shortland is directing, while Jac Schaeffer is writing the script.
