Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

Marvel also announced that Black Panther has now started production, and a couple more stars have been added to the cast, including Martin Freeman (The Hobbit), who will be reprising his Captain America: Civil War role as Everett K Ross.

Joining Freeman are Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, Michael B Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Windston Duke as M’Baku (also known as Ape-Man), Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, Sterling K Brown as N’Jobu, and Tessa Thompson, who will also be starring in Thor: Ragnarok, as Valkyrie.

Creed and Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler is helming the film, Kevin Feige is producing and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee are serving as executive producers.
