As if Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice wasn’t already enough of a whistle-stop tour around the DC universe, Badass Digest have some (unverified, and therefore rumoured) info on the expanding cast.
Confirming that the previous Batman V Superman V Doomsday rumours are true (and therefore rumouring that the Doomsday rumours are true, using the above logic about lack of sources), they add that one of Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) agents will be the 1988 Batman villain KGBeast.
“Yes!” they froth. “Lex Luthor has many agents making his dark agenda a reality, an agenda that includes keeping an eye on all metahumans, mainly a woman who walks the streets today but who is seen in pictures from the 1800s. A wonder woman, you might say.
“At any rate, one of Luthor’s agents has a name, and that name is Anatoli Knyazev. Hardcore fans will recognise that as the name of the KGBeast, a Batman villain introduced in 1988’s classic Ten Nights Of The Beast storyline.”
Although he should probably be renamed FSBeast (Anyone? Anyone?), Knyazev was a KGB-trained cyborg assassin responsible for the death of real-world Egyptian autocrat Anwar Sadat (yes, really).
