Speaking to The Telegraph, Idris Elba teased that he had filmed a scene for the new Avengers film as Heimdall with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. “I’m in Avengers. And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’”
Elba was talking about how filming commitments clash with his work as a DJ, and went on to talk about how the Marvel’s need for him has sometimes made getting out in and out of character difficult for him. The interviewer notes that Elba looked like he knew he wasn’t supposed to spill the beans, “He’s not meant to talk about this, but he clearly enjoys doing things he’s not meant to do.”
Tom Hiddleston has said for ages that Loki would not be appearing in Avengers 2, but that seems like the kind of intricate mind-game that the Trickster God would play on us…
