The first trailer has finally arrived for Ash Vs Evil Dead Season 3 and everyone’s favourite Deadite-slaying hero is heading back to school to meet his daughter.
If you need a bit more plot description, here’s a synopsis from Deadline. Season 3 “finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long lost daughter who’s been entrusted in his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. But evil will learn to never get in between a papa bear and his cub.”
The third season of the Starz show has had a slightly rockier road this time around due to the departure of previous showrunner Craig DiGregorio over disagreements about where the story should go (you can read his interview with The AV Club for specific details). Genre veteran Mark Verheiden as stepped in, and if the upcoming season’s as fun as this trailer, we can’t wait.
Bruce Campbell returns alongside Dana DeLorezon, Ray Santiago and Lucy Lawless, while Ash’s daughter is played by Arielle Carver-O’Neill.
Ash Vs Evil Dead returns on 25 February 2018 in the US. No UK air date has been announced.
