Alien: Covenant crew messages are hopeful and creepy

Check out these video messages home from two of the Alien: Covenant crew

Alien: Covenant continues to ramp up the publicity machine, and the latest snippets of new footage come from video messages home sent by Daniels (Katherine Waterston) and Oram (Billy Crudup).

Here’s Daniels’, which is a nice heartfelt message to her dad, intercut with some of that shoulder-cam footage, which suggests that Dad should definitely be worried about her.

Oram’s is much shorter, in keeping with his officious, stiff-backed character. “We shall behold wonders heretofor unimagined.” You certainly will, pal.

Alien: Covenant stars Michaael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir, Billy Crudup, Carmen Ejogo, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and James Franco.

“Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”

Alien: Covenant will be released on 12 May. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
