Inspired by The Three-Body Problem, the supremely successful book by Liu Cixin, 3 Body Problem is the latest sci-fi series to land on Netflix and has been created by Game Of Thrones’ David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and True Blood producer Alexander Woo.
The series follows a young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China that reverberates across space and time into the present day. When the laws of nature inexplicably unravel before their eyes, a close-knit group of brilliant scientists join forces with an unorthodox detective to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.
We spoke to the show’s stars Eiza González and Jovan Adepo, who play Auggie and Saul in the series – two scientists befuddled by what is going on in the world of the series – about their characters, exploring human instincts and why this show is unlike anything they’ve seen before…
