Based on the 2008 cult favourite, The Strangers, we’re getting a whole new horror trilogy to creep us out from director Renny Harlin (The Exorcist: The Beginning) and the trailer for the first movie in the series, The Strangers: Chapter 1, has been released.

In The Strangers: Chapter 1, after their car breaks down in an eerie small town, a young couple are forced to spend the night in a remote cabin. Panic ensues as they are terrorized by three masked strangers who strike with no mercy and seemingly no motive.

The movie is written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland (Due Date), based on The Strangers written by Bryan Bertino. It stars Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale) and Froy Gutierrez (Cruel Summer).
The Strangers: Chapter 1 will be released in cinemas on 17 May.
