Megalopolis is a Roman Epic fable set in an imagined Modern America. The City of New Rome must change, causing conflict between Cesar Catilina (Adam Driver), a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esposito), who remains committed to a regressive status quo, perpetuating greed, special interests, and partisan warfare.  Torn between them is socialite Julia Cicero (Nathalie Emmanuel), the mayor’s daughter, whose love for Cesar has divided her loyalties, forcing her to discover what she truly believes humanity deserves.

The movie stars Adam Driver (65), Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian), Nathalie Emmanuel (Game Of Thrones), Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus), Shia LaBeouf (Transformers), Jon Voight (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), Talia Shire (Dreamland), Jason Schwartzman (Asteroid City), Kathryn Hunter (Poor Things), Grace VanderWaal (Stargirl), Chloe Fineman (Twisted Metal), James Remar (Black Lightning), D.B. Sweeney (The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre), and Dustin Hoffman (Kung Fu Panda).

Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis will make its world premiere in Competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
