To promote the upcoming videogame Resistance 3 (which I’m playing at the moment and will be reviewing in our late September issue), Sony has enlisted the Punchdrunk theatre group to create an event called ‘…and darkness descended’, which will act as a prequel to the game and see participants teaming up to tackle a scary survival experience. It takes place on Saturday the 3rd September and again on Sunday the 4th of September.
The aim is to replicate the experience of a videogame and combine it with cool elements of interactive theatre. Resistance 3 itself has heavy connotations of The Road about it, so expect ‘…and darkness descended’ to capture that sense of bleakness (or at least give it a very British shot).
