After weeks of speculation, alien invasion serial V has officially been axed by ABC after two seasons, and The Event – which covered similar territory – has followed suit.
It’s not all bad though and there are hopes to continue The Event to what promises to be a gripping finale, with Deadline reporting that the producers are in talks to find a future for the series, possibly with web broadcaster Netflix.
