Having seen our first (admittedly brief) teaser trailer for Season 3 of Twin Peaks, it would appear that things are finally coming together, despite the air date still being over a year away. In the meantime, there has been yet another addition to the cast, with TV Line reporting that Green Lantern and Robot & Frank star Peter Sarsgaard has nabbed a recurring role in the new series.
Again, the nature of his role is unconfirmed (we wouldn’t expect anything less), but he joins a cast that currently includes the returning Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise and Sherilyn Fenn, as well as new additions Amanda Seyfried, Balthazar Getty and Robert Knepper.
Original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost have penned all the episodes – this alone meaning that the new series is something we absolutely can’t wait for.
Twin Peaks: Season 3 will air on Showtime in the US in 2017. For more news about the latest TV series, pick up the latest issue of SciFiNow.
