Hot on the heels of Godzilla‘s Gareth Edwards being signed up for a Star Wars spin-off film, Deadline have confirmed Looper and Brick director Rian Johnson as the helmer of Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX.
Johnson will be concluding the trilogy that JJ Abrams is kicking off with 2015’s Star Wars: Episode VII.
