A couple more explorers have joined the cast of Kong: Skull Island, joining Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Corey Hawkins.
Deadline reports that John Goodman has been cast in a key role, while Variety reports that Me And Earl And The Dying Girl‘s Thomas Mann has signed on to join Legendary’s monster movie, which will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts.
There is actually a bit of information about Goodman’s character. Well, a little bit. He’s playing “Randa, a government official who leads an expedition.”
There’s also a wee bit of plot information here too.
“The story is about a man (Hiddleston) who travels to the mythical island and home of the king of the apes. A team of explorers ventures inside what they find to be a treacherous island. The story is said to honor the King Kong lore but in a different time period.”
The film shoots this Autumn, so we can expect a couple more casting announcements before then…
Kong: Skull Island will be released on 10 March 2017 in the UK. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
