Get your first look at Baron Zemo in Captain America: Civil War

Baron Zemo stands revealed in this new pic from Captain America: Civil War

The marketing campaign for Captain America: Civil War has kicked into overdrive in recent weeks – unsurprisingly, considering that it’s out real soon. But while we now feel like we have a good idea of what’s going on, conspicuous by his absence from the promotional campaign has been Baron Zemo, played by Goodbye Lenin! and Inglourious Basterds star Daniel Bruhl. Until now.

Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, below we have our first look at him as Zemo – sans the purple costume thankfully. There’s still no real clue as to exactly what role his character has in the story, but judging by his history in the comics, we’re going to hazard a guess and say “up to no good”. We’re not sure how Cap and Iron Man will have time to punch him about while they’re laying the smackdown on each other, but you can bet that he will be involved in some manner.576f03ca4805b86329d6263dd01cd36e-650-80

Bruhl stars alongside Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Emily VanCamp, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, Martin Freeman, William Hurt, Frank Grillo and more. Phew, that’s a big cast. Anthony and Joe Russo are on directing duties once more, working from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Captain America: Civil War will be released in cinemas on 29 April 2016. You can download The 25 Greatest Marvel Comics Ever digital edition from GreatDigitalMag.com now. For more news about the biggest movies, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
