Set on the Norwegian base that the creature strikes first in the original John Carpenter classic, 2011’s confusingly titled prequel to The Thing, also called The Thing got its teaser poster this week, and has just gained its trailer.
It looks good, but it’s not immediately clear how this is in anyway different from the original, aside from there being a Norwegian flag in the background in a scene or two. In terms of screaming, flamethrowers, knitwear, beards, snow, American accents, petri dishes, claustrophobia… it looks like business as usual.
