Fringe Season 5 Could Be 15 Episodes Long

by Samuel Roberts

Final season discussions apparently going on at Fox, season 5 would likely be the JJ Abrams drama’s final year

Fringe Season 5 Could Be 15 Episodes LongFox drama Fringe may return for a 5th and final season of 15 episodes. According to sources of TVLine, the show remains very much in contention for a return – a miracle given that Fox’s Kevin Reilly said that it makes no money as a result of its dire ratings. Still, not our problem; the prospect of another run for Fringe division can only be a good thing.

Great news this – and it means hopefully we will get a proper series resolution and all loose ends tied up. It’ll be sad to see this great show come to an end but at least they aren’t dragging it on for ten seasons. Maybe we can get a spin off series from Massive Dynamic or one about The Observers?

Totally agree Kevin, great news that it looks like we will get a fifth series as I dreaded it just suddenly being dumped at the end of the fourth without the show having a proper end. Pity they are only going to make a slightly shorter 15 episode series though.

I too will be very sad to see it go as its a fabulous scifi show and I have loved it right from the start. Has been my absolute favourite scifi show for years with only GOT to rival it.

I like your idea Kevin of a spin off, maybe a show featuring Walter? He is a brilliant character and to me they never had him in it enough although as you mention there are a few different ideas they could use.

Hey, David M thanks for your comment – a Walter spin off would be brilliant too… imagine if it was Walter Bishops early days – a prequel series if you will with young Olivia and Nina… so many possibilities. Hey Warner if you are listening David and I have some ideas for you… :)

I am also pleased that Fringe looks like it will get a fifth season to tie things up, I agree with kevin about not dragging a show on for years, i love the X files but that should have ended after the movie instead of dragging on and tieing its self up in knots that not even the producers could fathom.
