Out this September, the excitement is ramping up for Matt Reeves’ (The Batman) new series The Penguin, with the full trailer being released at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. It shows the gangster kingpin (played by Colin Farrell) doing some dirty work to make a name for himself on the mean streets of Gotham.

The series is set to continue Reeves’ epic crime saga that began with The Batman and centers on the character of the Penguin, first played by Farrell in the film.
It’s been developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), the series also stars Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs), Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel’s Runaways), Michael Kelly (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Damsel), Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range), Clancy Brown (Gen V), and Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel).
It was announced in May that The Penguin had been picked up by Sky and that each episode would be released at the same time as the US each week and on demand thereafter for UK viewers.
“The Penguin is an outstanding addition to our growing comic slate of films and series,” said Lucy Criddle, Sky Director of Acquisitions and Strategic Projects. “With the grimy world of Gotham City amidst chaos, the story continues The Batman epic crime saga and I’m excited to see Farrell take this iconic character to new heights in this eight-part limited drama series.”
The Penguin will be available exclusively on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in September.
