The Orville Season 2 trailer makes first contact but doesn’t share parties

The first trailer for The Orville Season 2 is full of spectacle, action and jokes

The first trailer for the second season of Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville has arrived, confirming that 30 December US air date, making first contact and absolutely refusing to share birthday parties.

MacFarlane’s comedy sci-fi emerged as one of the best sci-fi shows going over the course of the first season with a very well-crafted balance between laughs, heart and a genuine love of the genre. We can’t wait to see what the crew has come up with for Season Two.

New additions include Leighton Meester and Jessica Szhor.

“Set 400 years in the future, the show follows the adventures of the Orville, a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth’s interstellar Fleet. Facing cosmic challenges from without and within, this motley crew of space explorers will boldly go where no comedic drama has gone before.”

The Orville will air on FOX on 30 December in the US (and hopefully very soon after in the UK). Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
