Super Bowl 2021 Genre Trailers

Here are all the genre trailers that were shown at this year’s Super Bowl.

Ah, the Super Bowl. That oh so American football event which means impressive snacks, halftime shows and, of course, a first-look at new movie and TV trailers!

Now, there weren’t too many trailers this year. With film release dates having to change to keep within Covid-19 guidelines, studios are loathed to push any particular film. However, there was still plenty of genre content to get our teeth into.

Here are the genre trailers shown at Super Bowl 2021…

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Still riding high on the reactions to WandaVision, Disney+ gave us a more in-depth look into its second MCU series being shown on the streaming service with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

The series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Wyatt Russell as John Walker and exciting, Daniel Brühl back playing the evil Zemo…

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be available on Disney+ from 19 March 2021.

Raya And The Dragon

We were also treated to another look at Disney’s new animated epic, Raya And The Last Dragon, during Superbowl 2021.

This is the first film from the animation giant set in Southeast Asia and it follows Raya (Kelly Marie Tran), as she endeavors to find the last dragon (Awkwafina) and fend off an evil that has returned to her land of Kumandra after centuries…

Raya And The Dragon is due to be in select theaters and available on Premiere Access for Disney+ from 5 March 2021.

Old

We wouldn’t expect anything less than disquiet creepiness and intrigue from an M. Night Shyamalan project and that’s exactly what we saw in the first-look trailer for Old.

The film is inspired by the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters which sees a group of people who find themselves unable to leave a strange and secluded beach that – we soon discover – hides a terrifying secret: those gathered are aging at a rapid pace…

Starring Gael García Bernal, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Alex Wolff, Old is due out later this year.

Old is due in theaters on 23 July 2021.
