ABC’s fantasy show, Pushing Daisies, picked up a Prime Time Emmy award for outstanding directing for a comedy series, which was given to former Men In Black helmer Barry Sonnenfeld for the pilot episode ‘Pie-Lette’.
Earlier this month, Battlestar Galactica picked up a couple of Creative-Arts Emmys for visual effects (‘He That Believeth In Me’) and in the peculiarly titled category of ‘outstanding special class-short format live action entertainment programme’. Tin Man also picked up an award for outstanding make-up, Chuck won for outstanding stunt coordination, and Smallville won an award for outstanding sound editing.
