Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion Revenge review

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge is a flawless victory.

Once in every generation, a great tournament between the realms takes place that will ultimately determine the fate of Earth. This is Mortal Kombat.

This generation’s champions for Earth include bicycle-kicking Liu Kang, the always sharp Sonya Blade and the ignorant nut puncher Johnny Cage (who thinks he’s actually starring in a movie). However, just as the title says, this is Scorpion’s movie. A wronged man whose family has been murdered, Scorpion joins Mortal Kombat to seek his revenge against Sub Zero and finally find some semblance of peace.

We all know the game, but those with bad posture from hours of being hunched over a Mega Drive are soon to have their spine readjusted with Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge. This is an all-out, gore-filled, badass animation complete with slow motion bone-crunching, blood-soaked scenes of epic battles, and x-ray shots of extreme violence. And it’s bloody fantastic.

With eye-catching animation, a great voice cast that includes Joel McHale (Stargirl) and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) and visually stunning fight sequences that have you continuously wincing and cheering throughout, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge is a flawless victory.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge is out now.
